Life Chain Sunday: Prayer and Witness for the Unborn

     Life Chain 2022 takes place Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 2-3 p.m. along University Drive from Sample Road to Miramar Parkway. Participants offer a prayerful, peaceful witness to the children who have perished and the women who suffer emotional and physical trauma from abortion.

    Life Chain participants hold placards that read “Adoption, the Loving Option,” “Abortion Hurts Women,” “Life: The First Inalienable Right,” and “Jesus Forgives and Heals.”
     The easy-to-hold signs are back-printed with prayer topics, songs, the Life Chain code of conduct, and the Life Chain purpose statement. Life Chain participants pray, asking God to end the scourge of abortion that has taken more than 63 million lives in America since 1973 when the Supreme Court declared laws against abortion to be unconstitutional.
      The Court overturned Roe in June in a historic ruling. But abortion is still legal in Florida through 15 weeks. For that to change, the state Supreme Court must reverse a 1989 ruling that, effectively, wrote an expansive right to abortion into the state constitution--where it had never been seen before. And the state legislature must pass legislation that will protect all unborn children.
